The AWGB have been working with SEND – supporting children and young people with additional needs throughout their education and invited us to help by donating Pen Kits for two Woodturning Days they had planned for local young people with a learning disability in Kegworth and Holmfirth.
This was a unique opportunity for SEND young people to enjoy taking part in inclusive agenda with fully trained Woodturning teaching professionals, gain some valuable experience and confidence in the ability to create a piece of work entirely on their own.
As you could see, the impact and outcomes for the SEND young people was quite amazing! (see photos)
